3D CAD and bending

From STEP assembly to flat pattern, automatically.

Upload an assembly. FormWorks finds every unique part and its quantity, recognizes thickness and bends, develops the flat pattern, checks it against your press brakes and plate rolls and prices bending together with the cut.

Tube and profile laser

Tubes and profiles, nested on real bars.

Round, square and rectangular tubes, angles, UPE and IPE are recognized from 3D with mitres, saddles and holes, or drawn in the tube editor, then nested on your stock bars with shared cuts and remnants. Bent tubes are checked on your tube benders.

Stock and remnants

Leftovers become stock again.

Sheets, bars and remnants are tracked with codes, sizes and locations. A finalized quote reserves what it needs; when the customer accepts, the material leaves stock and reusable offcuts come back as remnants.

Manufacturing routes

Price the whole job, not just the cut.

Shafts, bearing blocks and welded frames get a route of steps on your own work centers: sawing, turning, milling, drilling, welding, coating and inspection. Every step is timed, the raw material is priced, and the route joins the same quote.

Straight answers.

Which files can I upload?

DXF and DWG files (single parts or ready nested sheets), STEP and IGES models and assemblies, and photos or scans of drawings. Tube parts can also be drawn in the tube editor.

Does it work with tube lasers?

Yes. Tubes and profiles are recognized from 3D or entered in the editor, nested on your stock bars and priced on your tube lasers, with cut lists, labels and a CAM package.

How accurate are the machine times?

Times come from your machines, cutting profiles and handling data. Recording real job times lets FormWorks calibrate each machine, so estimates converge on your shop floor.

Can I use my own prices and margins?

Yes. Pricing profiles define material pricing, hourly rates, setup, packing, margin, discount, VAT and minimum order. Bending, threading and other operations have their own prices.

Does FormWorks control the machine or write G-code?

No. It prepares the decision, the quote and the production documents. The DXF and the CAM package go to your CAM software, which creates the machine program.

Can we send quotes from our own email address?

Yes. Every company connects its own mailbox: Gmail, Outlook, Microsoft 365 or any mail server. The quote PDF goes out with a message prepared in the customer's language, replies come straight back to you, and every message stays with the project.

Does FormWorks price more than laser cutting?

Yes. Bending on press brakes and tube benders, plate rolling and routes for sawing, turning, milling, drilling, welding and coating on your work centers are priced in the same quote. Stock, gases and maintenance live in the same application.
